The basic idea of a microdose is to take a tiny dose of psychedelic shrooms (specifically Psilocybe Cubensis) that’s just enough to give your brain a little boost without sending you on a full trip


A microdose of shrooms is typically around 0.1 to 0.3 grams of Psilocybe Cubensis Mushrooms, the protocol that I have used in the past consists in taking one dose, and taking two days off, then repeating for 8 weeks.

So, you’ve got your shrooms, now what? It’s time to get your microdosing game organized! 


Microdosing isn’t just about popping a capsule whenever you feel like it; it’s all about consistency.


I’m rolling with the Fadiman Protocol, and it’s been a solid approach. Here’s how it works:


You take your microdose on day one, then chill out for two days (no dosing).


On day four, you’re back at it with another microdose, and you keep that cycle going for about 8 weeks.


The beauty of this method is that it’s designed to let you enjoy that sweet “two-day afterglow” that many folks (myself included) experience after a dose.


Once you’ve completed an 8-week cycle, it’s time to hit pause and take a two-week break.


This gives your system a chance to reset, and it helps prevent any tolerance from building up.


After the break, you can jump right back into the protocol




Why not dose every day, you ask? Well, with psychedelics like psilocybin, your body builds up tolerance super quickly. 


Dosing daily would just water down the effects, which isn’t what we’re after.


Now, to keep everything on track, I highly recommend using a calendar, app, or just a good old notebook to log your dosing days and track how you’re feeling.
